The Importance of Patience

It is important to have determination and optimism and patience.
If you lack patience, even when you face some small obstacle, you lose courage.
There is a Tibetan saying, "Even if you have failed at something nine times, you have still given it effort nine times.
I think that's important. Use your brain to analyze the situation. Do not rush through it, but think. Once you decide
hat to do about that obstacle, then there's a possibility that you will achieve your goal.

How do I change?
If I feel depressed I will sing.

I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday,
until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids.
With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now.
I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest.
I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy.
Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait.
If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person.

Your time is too precious to be sacrificed in wasted days combating the menial forces of hate, jealously, and envy.

"How To Be Happy"

1. Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.

2. Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything,
and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.

3. Don't take yourself too seriously.
Don't think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.

4. You can't please everybody. Don't let criticism worry you.

5. Don't let your neighbor set your standards. Be yourself.

6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt.

7. Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.

8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy, enmity, grudges. Avoid people who make you unhappy.

9. Have many interests. If you can't travel, read about new places.

10. Don't hold post-mortems. Don't spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don't be one who never gets over things.

11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself.

12. Keep busy at something. A busy person never has time to be unhappy.

- Robert Louis Stevenson -

give them yours!"
